PotsandPans is a music duo based in Belnan, Nova Scotia known for their inviting vibe & authentic songwriting with an ear-worm worthy melodic rhythm.

Darlene MacNeil, (songwriter. lead vocalist, guitar) grew up singing on the stages of small town Nova Scotia. A voice with power and presence. Darlene’s lyrics reflect on the heartache and humor of wisdom found in the past half a hundred years delivered with truth, love & laughter.

Greg Roberts, (lead guitar, vocals, songwriter) grew up loving music in Labrador. No musical training, all self taught. Performing on stage was never something he saw in his future – then he met Darlene.

Together, they create a sound all their own.

Finalist for the 2026 Concordia University First Book Award

It’s 2011 on Nova Scotia’s South Shore, and Sean Lohan is at a crossroads. The son of Colorado Buddhists, Sean wonders if he should accept his parents’ offer to join their natural cosmetics company or venture out on his own. When an art history professor opens Sean’s eyes to the contradictions of capitalism, he realizes he can’t avoid or transcend his own personal dilemmas and instead chooses to face them head-on. Koh-i-Noor is a timely doomscroll through four decades of globalization, generational change, and the search for one’s own values.

Michael Eddy studied art in Halifax and Frankfurt and spent five years in Beijing. His writing has appeared in various publications, including C Magazine, esse, and Peripheral Review. Born in New York City and raised in Halifax, he now lives in Montreal. Koh-i-Noor is his debut novel.

Erinn Beth Langille is an award-winning writer, and currently the Director of the NSCAD university galleries.
